The latest information on our players out on loan

5 November 2020

There has been midweek games for some of our loan players in both Europe and on home soil and preparations are being made ahead of another busy round of fixtures this weekend.

On Monday Joel Valencia and his Legia Warsaw pulled off arguably the most eye catching result of the week for our players as he played 90 minutes in a 3-0 win away at Warta Poznan. Joel wasn’t on the scoresheet on the night but he helped the side to an impressive win which puts them third in the league table having won five of their first eight matches. They are now just three points off of top spot in Poland.

Looking at the EFL there was a point for Jan Zamburek’s Shrewsbury Town right in the dying moments on Tuesday when Dan Udoh found an equaliser against Burton Albion. Shrewsbury are now 22nd in Sky Bet League One and will be looking to build some more momentum going into the weekend. On the night, Jan started the match and played the first 72 minutes.

Also in Sky Bet League One, Northampton Town secured a point at home to MK Dons with a 0-0 draw with Luka Racic an unused sub at the PTS Academy Stadium. The side are 17th in the league and Luka will be looking to push himself further into contention in the coming matches.

Arthur Read was involved in Sky Bet League Two action for Stevenage on Tuesday evening as they went down to a 3-1 defeat to Colchester United. The midfielder played the full 90 minutes but was unable to help the side to a positive result as Jevani Brown notched a hat-trick for United, leaving Stevenage 21st in the league table.

Looking ahead to this weekend there will be three players looking to get more minutes under their belts with Patrik Gunnarsson looking to continue to help Viborg FF keep up their good run at the top of the table in Denmark. After featuring in the 3-0 last time out over Helsingor, the side will play Fredericia on Friday away from home. Their upcoming opponents are currently fourth in the table.

Saïd Benrahma will be pushing for more game time for West Ham United when they take on Fulham on home turf after he made his debut as a substitute against Liverpool recently. The Hammers are currently 14th in the Premier League and will be looking to climb higher with a win over Fulham.

After an 83rd minute substitute appearance for FC Twente recently, Halil Dervişoğlu will be hoping for more minutes when the Dutch side take on Den Haag away from home on Saturday.

Julian Jeanvier and Jaakko Oksanen have both been absent from recent fixtures with their loan sides after picking up injuries. Julian, on loan in Turkey with Kasimpasa, and Jaakko in League One with AFC Wimbledon.
