In the Emirates FA Cup Second Round, Arthur Read came off the bench to net a penalty in Stevenage’s shootout win over Hull City at the Lamex Stadium.
Arthur came on midway through the second-half with Stevenage trailing 1-0 to their higher division opponents. Elliott List then levelled with neither side able to find a winner in the remaining 11 minutes of normal time, or the added 30. In the shootout, Arthur took and netted Stevenage’s fourth spot kick as the two sides scored five of their first six. Ben Coker made it 6-5 to the hosts before Sean McLoughlin missed the all-important kick for The Tigers to send Stevenage through to tonight's Third Round draw.
Elsewhere in the Cup, Jan Žambůrek did not have permission to play as Shrewsbury Town beat National League South Oxford City 1-0 after extra time. Jaakko Oksanen also wasn’t involved in AFC Wimbledon’s 2-1 home defeat to Crawley Town on Sunday.
All our EFL loanees are back in league action this midweek. Luka Racic and Northampton Town are at Fleetwood Town, Shrewsbury visit Accrington Stanley, Stevenage travel to Walsall, and AFC Wimbledon host Peterborough.

In Poland, Joel Valencia was an unused substitute as Legia Warsaw twice let the lead slip in a 2-2 draw against his former side Piast Gliwice to drop to second in the Ekstraklasa.
The final weekend action for our players comes tonight with Saïd Benrahma and West Ham United coming up against Ollie Watkins’ Aston Villa at the London Stadium.
