Patrik and Viborg FF make it four from four at top of Nordic Bet Liga

The action for our players away from the Brentford Community Stadium

2 November 2020

Viborg's unbeaten start to the season continued on Friday night with a 3-0 victory over FC Helsingør which leaves them five points clear at the top of the Nordic Bet Liga.

Patrik Gunnarsson retained his starting spot as Magnus Kaastrup's early strike and a pair of second-half goals from Sebastian Grønnning and Jakob Bonde secured the three points. The outing was Patrik's sixth of the campaign since heading to Denmark, with five wins and one draw coming from those games.

Halil Dervişoğlu came off the bench with seven minutes to play as FC Twente ran riot against PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie. The home side led 4-1 by this stage with Luka Ilic adding a late fifth to complete the scoring.

Elsewhere in Europe, Kasimpasa's first game without Julian Jeanvier ended in a 4-3 win over Trabzonspor while Joel Valencia and Legia Warsaw travel to Warta Poznan tonight.

In England, Saïd Benrahma made his West Ham United debut off the bench as The Hammers lost 2-1 at Anfield against Liverpool. The winger played the closing stages as The Reds came from behind to take the points.

In Sky Bet League One, Jaakko Oksanen was absent for AFC Wimbledon's 1-1 draw away at MK Dons while Jan Žambůrek watched on as ten-man Shrewsbury Town were beaten 5-1 by Peterborough United. Luka Racic did see action, playing the final minute of Northampton Town's 3-2 win over Wigan Athletic.

In Sky Bet League Two, Arthur Read played the full 90 minutes as Stevenage United and Grimsby Town shared the spoils after a 0-0 draw at Broadhall Way.

There's another full round of EFL action this midweek with AFC Wimbledon hosting Doncaster Rovers, Northampton Town at home to MK Dons, Shrewsbury Town welcoming Burton Albion, and Stevenage away at Colchester United.
