On Tuesday 5 May, EFL Chair Rick Parry gave evidence to the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee regarding the impact of coronavirus on football. Rick spoke for almost an hour about the ongoing pandemic and the results of it. He was joined by fellow witnesses Tom Harrison (Chief Executive, England and Wales Cricket Board), Bill Sweeney (Chief Executive Officer, Rugby Football Union), Dame Katherine Grainger (Chair, UK Sport) and Tim Hollingsworth OBE (Chief Executive, Sport England) to detail the issues faced by the sector.

There were conversations about the potential restart of football and how that would come about, as well as other topics. Rick addressed the financial impact of the stoppage of football and what that would mean in the long-term. He also took questions from MPs on the Committee.
