James Gitsham (1942); 61 appearances, 0 goals

A full-back who came through the ranks at Griffin Park, Gitsham made his debut in April 1961. He was a regular the following season as we lost our Third Division status before playing 18 games during the 1962/63 promotion-winning campaign. He left in the summer of 1963, enjoying a career in the non-league with Romford and Stevenage before an ankle injury forced him to retire.

Chris Hargreaves (1972); 39 appearances, 3 goals

Signed by Martin Allen in the summer of 2004, Hargreaves’s year with the Club saw us reach the FA Cup Fifth Round and the League One Play-Offs. An enforcer in the middle of the park alongside Stuart Talbot, Hargreaves’ most memorable moment in red and white came away at Luton Town as he netted the opener in a 2-0 FA Cup Third Round win. The well-travelled midfielder started both legs of the Play-Off Semi-Final defeat to Sheffield Wednesday before departing for Oxford United in the summer of 2005. He ended his career at The Kassam Stadium aged 38 with 692 professional appearances and 54 goals to his name.
