The young Bees put in a ruthless showing as they raced to a five-goal lead during the first half with two goals from Jaden Brissett, and with Matej Majka, Fredrik Hammar and Arthur Read all netting in the first 45 minutes before a Nick Tsaroulla penalty made it six midway through the second period.

The Brentford high press caused issues for the home side right from the start as the likes of Majka, Aaron Pressley and Brissett himself proving a real nuisance for the Cypriot side. In fact, the pressing of Majka almost led to the opening goal as he closed down the keeper to win possession before his shot was well saved.

More pressure would follow, and that opening goal arrived on 12 minutes when the keeper was forced into an error as he passed the ball straight to Majka who played a one-two with Read before slotting low into the net.

Brentford B would double their lead just three minutes later, and this time it came from a set piece, when a Jaakko Oksanen wide free-kick was whipped into the box for Hammer to slot home from close range.

More chances would fall when the dangerous Joe Adams on the right-hand side slipped a ball inside to Read who fed Brissett to shoot powerfully low from just inside the box, but he was denied by the keeper.

Just before the half hour mark the young Bees would notch their third and Brissett’s first as he managed to find space in the box to tap home from Majka’s wonderful cross from the right. That would be the youngster’s first goal since returning from an injury layoff which occurred against Rangers back in December last year.

Read would then get in on the act just under 10 minutes later in what was a rampant period for the young Bees as they managed to keep a cross alive before the ball fell to the midfielder who curled the ball with his left foot low into the corner.

Three minutes later Brissett would get his second of the afternoon when he dribbled into the area after some good build up play before he unleashed a powerful effort which beat the keeper.

Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane then made eight changes on the hour mark, and despite that, the game continued with the young Bees dominating much of the play.

A Dom Thompson powerful drive would precede Nick Tsaroulla’s similar effort which cannoned off the post before the latter got his name on the scoresheet when he converted a penalty after Aaron Pressley was tripped in the box.

More possession for Brentford B would see them control much of the closing moments, and they almost made it seven when Tsaroulla had his effort saved, whilst Paris Maghoma saw his powerful free-kick well blocked, as the young Bees made an excellent start to their stay in Cyprus.
