6 June 2020

With the schedule for the resumption of they Sky Bet Championship now confirmed, Brentford are on a two-week countdown to their 38th game of the season, more than three months after the 37th. The EFL announced yesterday that the season would conclude between 20 June and 23 July. A full fixture schedule is expected soon but The Bees are likely to resume their season two weeks from today with a West London derby against Fulham.

The players stopped training as a group when restrictions on movement were inititated by the government and football was halted. With the EFL allowing clubs to train last Monday, 25 May, The Bees have been in action for two weeks and building towards the resumption of games. They are half way through a four-week build-up.
