On 5 July 1948 the NHS was officially created. It is unusual for football to have the chance to mark this anniversary but with the season on going as the NHS turns 72 this weekend, Brentford will join the EFL and clubs across the country to mark the day. This follows the thanks given to the NHS for the work of the organisation and the staff working tirelessly during the Covid-19 pandemic over the past three months.

In the run up to the weekend of 4-5 July, the NHS will create a ‘People’s Picture’ mosaic made up of thousands of images, photos and thank yous, hosted online and on prominent digital billboards across the country. They want footbll fand to join in. Brentford supporters can share their thank you messages with the hashtag #ThankYouTogether to potentially feature as part of the mosaic.
