Brentford FC reiterated its support for racial equality and Black Lives Matter movement before the win over West Bromwich Albion yesterday. Football has continued to show solidarity against racial discrimination in recent weeks and this continued at Griffin Park. Players from both teams took a knee at kick-off yesterday and Brentford players wore t-shirts to share the message.

The EFL's position on the matter was outlined before the resumption of football earlier this month and Brentford showed our backing for the campaign at Fulham last week as well as taking part in an EFL video. The Club has also released a new video reiterating our stand against racism and discrimination. Under the #BeeTogether banner, the video features Brentford players, fans and staff, and stresses the importance the Club places on togetherness and unity. See it here.

The demonstration from the players came hours after a statement was released further outlining our position on Bees Together. That can be seen here.
