Brentford FC reiterated its support for racial equality before the win over Charlton Athletic. Football has continued to show solidarity against racial discrimination in recent weeks and Brentford players and staff took part on Tuesday night. Players from both teams took a knee at kick-off yesterday and Brentford players wore t-shirts to share our #BeeTogether message, the Club's policy on diversity and inclusion.

A BAME coaching placement scheme has recently been announced and Brentford FC have already contacted the relevant authorities to take part in this scheme. A joint statement has also been issued on the Premier League website to reiterate that players, clubs, The FA, EFL, PFA, LMA, PGMOL and all those who have come together in recent weeks reject racism and show support for the message that black lives matter. See that here.

The demonstration from the players follows a statement further outlining our position on Bee Together. That can be seen here. The Club has also released a new video reiterating our stand against racism and discrimination. Under the #BeeTogether banner, the video features Brentford players, fans and staff, and stresses the importance the Club places on togetherness and unity. See it here.
