Matthew Donohue handed Saturday's visit from Wigan Athletic

Match Officials confirmed for game against The Latics

2 July 2020

The two form sides in the Sky Bet Championship meet at Griffin Park on Saturday with Wigan Athletic the visitors to TW8. Both sides have been perfect since the restart with three wins from three and zero conceded. Something will have to give on Saturday and the match officials have been confirmed for the game.

Referee: Matthew Donohue

Assistant Referees: Lee Venamore and Matt Foley

Fourth Official: Gavin Ward

Matthew Donohue has enjoyed a quick rise through the National Group, spending just 12 months as an EFL referee before being added to the Select Group Two of Sky Bet Championship officials during the summer.

As such this will be just Donohue's third Brentford assignment with a win and a defeat to show from the first two. Both those games came on the road with November's 1-0 loss to Blackburn Rovers followed up by a 4-0 New Year's Day win over Bristol City, a game which saw Ashley Williams dismissed early on.

That red card was one of five the Greater Manchester official has shown in 27 games this term, alongside 108 yellows.

Wigan Athletic 2019/20

537 fouls – 3rd in Sky Bet Championship

74 yellow cards – 7th in Sky Bet Championship

4 red cards – 2nd in Sky Bet Championship
