Reece Cole was the only one of our three loan players to see action this weekend but he couldn't help Partick Thistle avoid defeat at Arbroath in the Scottish Championship.
The 2-1 reverse, handed to The Jags by Michael McKenna's sixth minute effort and a Craig Wighton goal 11 minutes before the interval, dropped Thistle to the bottom of the table following a third winless game. Brian Graham's 95th minute consolation goal was the only bright spot for Partick who host third-placed Ayr on Friday night.
Elsewhere there was no game for Mads Bech Sorensen and AFC Wimbledon due to the Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round fixtures while Canice Carroll was not involved in Carlisle United's much-needed 2-1 win over Walsall. Having made his debut for The Dons against Peterborough United last time out, Mads will hope to retain his starting spot for tonight's home game against Burton Albion.
