There will be disappointment with Marcus and The Dons after they were denied all three points against lowly Southend United by an injury-time penalty. Callum Reilly netted after 23 minutes with AFC carrying that lead into added time. However, Charlie Kelman won and converted a 91st minutes penalty to level things up. The draw leaves AFC three points above the Sky Bet League One drop zone ahead of this weekend's break for the Emirates FA Cup Third Round.

Boreham Wood's draw at home to Barnet means they are now unbeaten in ten National League games and just a point outside the Play-Off places. The closest either side came was a Wesley Fonguck effort which crashed off the bar. The Wood travel to Stockport County on Saturday.

In Sky Bet League Two, Canice Carroll was an unused substitute as Carlisle United lost 4-1 on the road at Crewe Alexandra. The Railwaymen netted four times in the opening 34 minutes at Alexandra Stadium as Carlisle continue to look over their shoulders at the wrong end of the table. The Cumbrians can leave the League Two relegation battle behind them on Saturday as they head to Cardiff City in the Emirates FA Cup.

Also in action on Saturday will be Reece Cole. Fresh from extending his loan spell with Partick Thistle to the end of the season, The Jags visit Alloa Athletic in the Scottish Championship.
