The young Bees got back to it in 2020 when they took on Beijing Renhe last Friday in what was a 2-0 win for Neil MacFarlane's side as Aubrel Koutsimouka helped himself to two quickfire goals.

Having overcome the Chinese side, Brentford B will travel to the continent to take on a strong Bordeaux side that could well feature first team and under-23 players.

Looking ahead to the match, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “I think they’re (Bordeaux) planning on having a mix of players who have not been involved with their first team and then a few of their boys from their under-23s. It will be another tough game, a level up from today (v Beijing), and we’ll have to raise our levels especially more than they were in the second half."

The match will take place at FC Marmande which is around one hour's drive from Bordeaux and is open to spectators, so if you find yourself in the area then be sure to head down to cheer on the young Bees. The club intend to cover the match across all of its social media channels.

The match in France is the beginning of a busy period for Neil MacFarlane’s side as they then turn their attentions to a week’s stay in Portugal where they will play three fixtures.

That then takes the side into the tail end of January where they will take on Wingate & Finchley at the Maurice Rebak Stadium in a 7:45pm kick-off on Tuesday 28 January.
