Referee: Peter Bankes

Assistant Referees: Constantine Hatzidakis and Peter Kirkup

Fourth Official: Craig Hicks

This is Peter Bankes' seventh season as an EFL referee, having taken charge of his first game in February 2014.

The Merseyside official has officiated eight previous Brentford games, none of which have come this season. His first was our 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest in April 2016 before he oversaw a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday, which saw both sides finish with ten men, and our 5-1 Emirates FA Cup win over Eastleigh the following campaign.

Last season, he took charge of us on three occasions: September's 2-1 home win against Nottingham Forest, our 0-0 draw against Birmingham City in December, and the 3-0 defeat to Swansea City in April.

So far this season, Bankes has taken charge of 19 matches, showing 81 yellow cards and two reds in the process.
