The Wood enjoyed a perfect start, taking a 13th minute lead through Kane Smith which they held until the break. However, The Shots turned the game around in 18 second-half minutes thanks to a Kodi Lyons-Foster double and Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong's strike. Adam May pulled one back with four minutes remaining but the hosts held on for the three points. Despite defeat, The Wood remain third with Hartlepool United making the long trip to Meadow Park on Saturday.

Elsewhere this weekend, Mads Bech Sorensen and AFC Wimbledon visit in-form Gillingham in Sky Bet League One. Also in the third tier, Patrik Gunnarsson will head to Oxford United with Southend United should his emergency loan be extended while Reece Cole's Partick Thistle don't play until Tuesday, when they host Queen of the South in the Scottish Championship.
