Brentford FC have committed to a long-term future in the borough of Hounslow by signing a new lease for the Training Ground in Osterley. Brentford have trained at a facility in Jersey Road for around 15 years and the new 20 year lease, signed by Chairman Cliff Crown last week will ensure our presence in the area for at least the next two decades.

It will enable the Club to plan for the future in Osterley and continue our development in the local area as we prepare to move from Griffin Park, our home for 116 years, to a new stadium this summer. The lease also includes a licence to make significant improvements to the site in the future.

Brentford first moved to the Jersey Road site in 2004 and the Club has improved the facility substantially in the intervening years. It hosts the Club’s First Team and B Team with four full size pitches and other associated training areas. There are also gym and medical facilities on site for the players from both squads.

Cliff Crown said: “I am delighted that we have signed this long-term lease. Everyone at the Club believes Jersey Road is the best location for us to train. We have developed it in to a great place for the players and football staff to work over the past 15 years or so and having good training facilities has helped us improve our on-field performance in that time.

“In order to continue to improve we need to make those facilities even better and to do that we needed security of tenure which the new lease provides. The landowners have worked with us over the past months to get this deal in place and everyone was pleased to get it signed. Brentford FC have always been keen to secure their training facilities in the Hounslow area. We are proud to be the borough’s club and can now say that we will be here for the foreseeable future.”
