Trust update: London moving into Tier Four

News from Brentford FC Community Sports Trust

20 December 2020

Brentford FC Community Sports Trust have issued the below statement:

With London and the South of England moving into tier four Covid-19 restrictions today, Sunday 20 December, the Trust are cancelling or postponing the majority of community activities over Christmas. During this pandemic, the safety and wellbeing of participants has always been top priority. After all factors were considered, the Trust has taken this difficult decision and believes that actions are appropriate for participants and staff.

Outlined below is an update regarding projects and respective sessions.

School Holiday Camps

School holiday camps at Chase Bridge Primary School and St Mary’s RC Primary School in Chiswick have been cancelled. Please email schools@brentfordfccst.com to discuss your booking.

Football Development Programme

Football festivals on Monday 21, Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 December at Gunnersbury Park have been cancelled – please email fdc@brentfordfccst.com for further information.

Disability Sport

Disability sports sessions at Springwest Academy are cancelled. Please email ctribe@brentfordfccst.com if you have any questions.

Premier League Kicks Holiday Camps

The Trust are unable to run Kicks Holiday Camps this week. They are in the process of organising online activities for these camps – including an exciting Q and A with Brentford players.

As part of the provision with the Premier League, the Trust will also arrange lunch drops in respective areas over the next couple of days. For more information, email ce@brentfordfccst.com.

Education

Due to the Trust working with a number of vulnerable children through education activities, staff will still be running several one-to-one sessions. For more information, please email education@brentfordfccst.com. Staff will continue to monitor the ongoing situation closely and provide any further updates in due course.

The Trust is looking forward to resuming sessions in January and urges all participants to stay safe during the festive period. If you have any questions, feel free to contact via enquiries@brentfordfccst.com.
