Email invitations to book tickets for Brentford v Reading sent

Chance for fans to book place at last league game before Christmas, subject to Government regulations

10 December 2020

Brentford have played two matches in front of fans in the past five days and preparations are now underway for the next. Our games against Blackburn Rovers and Derby County were watched live by Bees fans at the stadium and, subject to any change in Government regulations, so will our next home fixture. The Bees face Reading on Saturday 19 December, kick-off 3pm, and planning is underway for that game to be played in front of supporters.

We know that our fans are desperate to get in to the stadium to watch games in our new home. Current Government regulations restrict us to just 2,000 supporters per match. We have already welcomed thousands of our Season Ticket Holders, Dugout Season Ticket Holders and Premium Seat members to our new home and hope to be able to welcome more next Saturday.

Fans will know our Season Ticket Holders and Dugout Season Ticket Holders that opted to freeze their 2020/21 Season Tickets have been placed in priority order depending on their longevity. The next Season Ticket Holders and Dugout Season Ticket Holders in our priority list have now been invited to our game against Reading. Those emails were sent earlier today, Thursday 10 December. We will be contacting our Premium Seat Holders separately.

We would like to remind fans that anyone who has already attended a game has been moved to the bottom of the priority list. Anyone who has an email but does not book will be invited to the game against AFC Bournemouth, on Wednesday 30 December, kick-off 5.30pm, subject to any change in Government regulations. As we stated last month, anyone who turns down three invitations – i.e. for Blackburn, Derby and Reading – will be placed to the bottom of the priority list until everyone eligible has had an opportunity to attend.

In order to ensure that we are full to capacity, more emails were sent today than tickets available.  We will be operating a different process for our Carabao Cup game against Newcastle United on Tuesday 22 December, kick-off 5.30pm. Details on this will follow shortly.

There will be changes to the match operation for our game against Reading, and for subsequent games. In order to fully test all parts of our stadium, the West Stand will be open for the game against Reading. Fans will be able to sit behind a goal for the first time at our new home. Tickets will be allocated across the stadium in line with social distancing guidelines.

As a reminder, anyone who lives in an area with tier three Covid-19 restrictions will not be able to attend and fans that have told us they do not want to attend at the moment have also been excluded. Supporters booking tickets won’t have to pay now. The pro-rata amount will be payable as part of the renewal process for next season’s Season Ticket (2021/22). Further details on how to access the stadium, what it will be like inside and any parking options available will be sent out to those attending.

Please check your email now to see if you can book tickets for our game against Reading. If you are a Season Ticket Holder for the 2020/21 season and are not receiving from the Club, please fill in our online form. If you have any queries, please email us at tickets@brentfordfc.com.

We fully appreciate this is a difficult and challenging process and we thank all fans for their help so far. We are also mindful that some may be frustrated they are not yet able to attend. Please be assured we understand and share these frustrations and will do everything in our power to make the process as smooth as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
