Brentford Football Club has introduced a new social media guide for fans.

In partnership with Kick it Out as part of their #TakeAStand campaign, Brentford FC Non-Executive Director and Champion for Diversity and Inclusion, Monique Choudhuri, pledged during our Black History Month webinar that a new social media policy would be introduced. This guide for fans on social media is now live and can be viewed here.

We are aiming to become the most inclusive Club in the country, one where all our fans and staff feel welcome and valued. To support this aim, we are committed to encouraging fans to use social media in all matters relating directly to the Club in a responsible way. We want to make the Brentford community a safe place for discussion, debate and opinion.

When engaging with social media relating directly to the Club - whether that’s through our official social media channels or elsewhere - we ask our fans to behave in a manner that’s in line with the Club’s stance and commitments, as set out in our Diversity and Inclusion Policy.

In particular, we encourage fans to behave towards others in a way that’s consistent with the principles of fairness, respect and tolerance and to refrain from any discriminatory or racially abusive comments.
