Just before Christmas it was announced that the Joy of Moving programme, operated in the local area by Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, would continue for another year. The programme has been supporting Year Five children across EFL Communities in the UK for the past six years and will now go in to a seventh. See more here.
The programme consists of two elements – the school-based Move and Learn programme and the Joy of Moving Festivals, which have been developed in conjunction with EFL Trust. These programmes are designed to inspire children to move through play, and in doing so, build up their physical fitness, motor coordination, cognitive functions and creativity and life skills and develop positive habits for adulthood. With many people confined to their homes, the programme moved online and we shared many Joy of Moving games and activities on our social media channels.
Now, the online games are back for Christmas with failies facing a very different festive season. You can find all activities on joyofmovingresourcehub.co.uk and see an example below. Join in to experience the Joy of Moving and bring that joy into your home! Share your fun moments through #JoyofMoving.
