Josh Dasilva has been nominated for the latest Carabao Cup Goal of the Round award. Josh scored the only goal as The Bees beat Newcastled United in the Quarter Finals last week. That strike earned him a nomination for the Goal of the Round prize.

Josh volleyed home from 12 yards, meeting an inch-perfect Sergi Canós cross, to give The Bees the win. He arrived in the penalty area to sweep a shot under Newcastle goalkeeper Karl Darlow. It gave Brentford a place in the last four of the Carabao Cup and a tie against Tottenham Hotspur next week and it may earn him further recognition.

Josh's goal is one of five up for the prize. Alexandre Lacazette of Arsenal and Ben Davies of Tottenham have also been nominated. The quintet are completed by Phil Foden, of Manchester City, and Edinson Cavani of Manchester United. For more information and to vote, visit the Carabao Cup website here.

Josh will be hoping to complete a Brentford treble if he wins. Emiliano Marcondes won the award in the Third Round for an overhead kick against West Bromwich Albion. Saïd Benrahma then won the Fourth Round prize for a goal against Fulham.
