Jarred Gillett to take charge of AFC Bournemouth game

Australian official handed tomorrow's visit from The Cherries

Our festive programme continues tomorrow with AFC Bournemouth heading to TW8. It'll be a meeting between the sides currently third and fourth in the Sky Bet Championship and the match officials have now been confirmed.

Born on the Gold Coast, Australia, Jarred Gillett emigrated to England in 2019 and made his EFL debut in April of that same year.

Part of the Select Group 2 Referee’s list for the 2019/20 season, Jarred was one of the most high profile officials in his home country, refereeing in the A-League from 2010 to 2019. Whilst in Australia, he refereed five A-League Grand Finals and the 2018 FFA Cup Final.

He also hit more international prominence when he was mic's up for his final A-League game in March 2019.

The four-time Hyundai A-League Referee of the Year has also officiated in the J-League, the Indian Super League, the Chinese Super League and the Saudi Professional League and at the 2015 International Champions Cup.

Tomorrow's game will be Gillett's 48th in the English game, and first time he has taken charge of us. 

So far this term, he has shown 49 yellow cards and two reds in 15 outings, one of those reds coming for Coventry against Bournemouth back in October.
