Brentford FC will be assisting Hounslow Community FoodBox in their Christmas collections again this year. In recent years, players have visited the Hounslow Community FoodBox in Brentford. As part of the visits they were able to support and witness the work undertaken by a team of volunteers in providing food and other provisions for the needy in the Borough. The FoodBox provides emergency food to those who are in need and live in the London Borough of Hounslow and can also help to make referrals to other organisations who can give further support and advice.

With Covid-19 restrictions making such visits impossible this year, the Club will be assisting in a different way. Staff and Directors will be collecting in person at Morrisons supermarket in Brentford. Chairman Cliff Crown was among those helping out yesterday and there will be representatives on site today, Sunday 6 December, and next weekend.

The FoodBox, located at the Brickfield Community Centre in Brentford, is continually looking for more volunteers and of course donations particularly of non-perishables and money to help extend the service.  For further information, please email [email protected].  You can also read more at hounslowfoodbox.org.uk/ and see latest news @HounslowFoodbox.
