Brentford will play in the Sky Bet Championship in 2020/21 after missing out on promotion this evening. The Bees were beaten by Fulham in the Championship Play-Off Final at Wembley. That means Fulham will take their place in the Premier League next season while The Bees will once again compete in the second tier.

The game was settled in extra time goals at Wembley. Fulham's Joe Bryan scored from a direct free kick and then slotted in a second late in the second period of extra time. Henrik Dalsgaard headed in late on but the final whistle was blown seconds later. It means Brentford's first season at their new home will be in the second tier when the new campaign starts in September.
