The young Swede, who arrived in West London from Halmstad Bollkub in August 2018, featured against the likes of Celtic’s Reserves as well Albacete Under-19s and FC Ferreiras in Portugal.

The 19-year-old has also been regularly involved in the Swedish youth setup for a number of years, including the likes of an Under-20 training camp in Cyprus back in January. In total, he registered 599 minutes in the Brentford B goal with competition for places always high among the likes of Nathan Shepperd, and Patrik Gunnarsson also featuring for Brentford B at times over the course of the last campaign.

Both Simon and Nathan have been pushing each other over the past year as both players continue their development. His last appearance for Brentford B came when he helped the side to a 3-0 win over Russian side FC Rodina Moscow when the side were on tour in Cyprus.

The young Swede will be looking to use the new pre-season campaign to kick on and push for more minutes in Neil MacFarlane’s side as they make preparations for a busy pre-season schedule to get back up to full fitness.
