Read joined The Hatters as an Under-9 player and remained there prior to moving to Griffin Park. His professional debut came in 2016, coming on as a substitute in Luton's EFL Trophy defeat to Millwall at Kenilworth Road. In total, he made seven appearances for The Oranges, scoring his first senior goal in December 2018 against Southend United.

He made his debut in a league competition away from the Club as a loanee for Hemel Hempstead Town in the National League South.

The 20-year-old helped bring exuberance and a creative spark into the Brentford B midfield during a season which saw him feature for the side 30 times against sides in Spain, Portugal and France.

During his time working under Neil MacFarlane last season Arthur found the net on five occasions, coming against the likes of Harrow Borough in our 7-1 win in the London Senior Cup, as well as against Pafos FC when the side spent a week in Cyprus.

Arthur also contributed three assists to the side and will be keen to kick on with his development as the side embark on an exciting new campaign.
