Niall Thompson (1974): 8 appearances, 0 goals

Canadian forward Thompson arrived at Brentford in February 1998 on a non-contract basis. He managed just eight scoreless appearances for Mickey Adams' relegation-bound Bees before the end of the campaign. He was released by Ron Noades that October without making any further outings and played in Canada, Scotland, and England before retiring in 2009.

Sam Tillen (1985): 83 appearances, 1 goal

Sam was one of six players to arrive at Griffin Park on 1 July 2005. The 20-year-old made 43 appearances in all competitions during his maiden season, including both legs of the Play-Off semi-final defeat to Swansea City. Tillen remained a regular under new manager Leroy Rosenior early in the 2006/07 season, scoring his first senior goal late on to secure a 1–1 draw with Leyton Orient in September. The left-sided player featured 38 times in total as we suffered relegation to League Two. Tillen added just two more appearances under Terry Butcher before leaving by mutual consent in January 2008. After Brentford, Tillen enjoyed a successful career in Iceland, winning a league title and Super Cup with FH.
