Birthdays
Richard Key (1956); 1 appearance, 0 goals
A goalkeeper signed from Leyton Orient in September 1984; Key made just one appearance for The Bees before he was released the following month to join Sunderland. That came away at Rotherham United as a Terry Hurlock goal earned us a point in a 1-1 draw.
Scott Hogan (1992); 36 appearances, 21 goals
A lethal striker, Scott endured a torrid first 18 months at Griffin Park due to a serious knee injury suffered on debut at Rotherham United in August 2014. Bees fans had to wait until March 2016 to see Scott again but he quickly made up for lost time. He netted seven goals in his final four games of the campaign, including a double against Fulham. That form continued the next season as he found the net 14 times in 25 Championship games, netting a hat-trick against Preston North End, before securing a big-money move to Aston Villa in January 2017.
