To celebrate Brentford Football Club's history at the legendary Griffin Park a special banner is being created by a local craft group. The team from the “Brentford Together” project at The Maker Station, based in High Street, Brentford, is creating a banner using local sewing skills and emblazoned with a cloth collage of memorabilia from supporters and the community. Mary O'Shea is leading the project and has been making banners since university. Her daughter Isabella also has a connection as she played for Brentford Girls.

The initial plan was that during April the team would will hand-stitch together the sustainable banner in The Maker Station, a creative co-working space for makers and creators combining the old and the new. The project is still ongoing but final making details are to be confirmed. This commemorative banner will be presented to the Club.

Donations are needed to help complete the banner. For more information on the status of the project and how to donate contact Mary on [email protected]. The Maker Station can be reached at [email protected] and their website is here.
