Abingdon, who play in the Southern Region Women's Football League Premier Division, two steps above The Bees, dominated the game and opened the scoring through Amy Pipe after six minutes. An unfortunate own-goal made it 2-0 midway through the half with the hosts wrapping up the win before the break thanks to goals from Charlotte Deeley and Kiera Isaac.

Pipe grabbed her second shortly after the restart with Molly Lygo and Sadie Timbs adding extra gloss to the scoreline with late efforts. The result was particularly harsh on Emily Boycott in the Brentford goal who made a string of fine saves over the 90 minutes.

Brentford Women begin their Greater London Women's Football League Division One campaign this afternoon at home to Crystal Palace Development, kick-off 2.30pm at Bedfont Sports while the Development Team take on London Benfica at Rectory Park, Northolt, 2pm kick-off.
