Brentford B Team goalkeeper Simon Andersson has been called up for international duty with Sweden Under-18s. The 18-year-old has been named in the squad for fixtures against Iceland and Finland, taking place in Finland next month.

Sweden will face Iceland on Friday 11 October, before facing the hosts two days later on 13 October and Simon will be hoping to build on his three caps at that level during the next international break, though will face competition from fellow stopper Daniel Strindholm.

The last of those appearances came earlier this month, when Simon played 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw with Norway. He has also made 16 appearances combined at Under-17, Under-16 and Under-15 level. The teenager joined The Bees from Halmstads Bollklub a year ago.
