Marcus Forss scored his second goal for AFC Wimbledon last night but could not stop them losing to Coventry City. The Brentford striker is on loan at The Dons for the 2019/20 season. He grabbed his second goal in three games eight minutes in to the game against Coventry – played at Birmingham City, where Coventry are sharing this season – slotting home a penalty.
That could have been a springboard for Wimbledon, but Coventry hit back before half time and then won the game in stoppage time. The defeat leaves The Dons 21st in the Sky Bet League One table with three points from nine games. Their next fixture is at home to Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
Marcus was the only one of Brentford’s players out on loan to get any game time last night. Canice Carroll was not involved as Carlisle United drew 0-0 at home to Forest Green Rovers despite the visitors being reduced to ten men with 20 minutes to go. Carlisle are 17th in League Two and play away to Bradford City on Saturday.
There were no fixtures for Justin Shaibu, at Boreham Wood, Reece Cole, at Partick Thistle, Emiliano Marcondes, at FC Midtjylland, or Ellery Balcombe, at Viborg Fodsports Forening. Viborg play their next game, in the Danish second tier, tomorrow evening, while Marcondes and FCM play on Sunday. Boreham Wood and Partick Thistle play on Saturday.
