Gustav played the opening 45 minutes while Simon was named on the bench, despite keeping a clean sheet and saving two penalties during Friday's semi-final victory against Norway. The only goal of the game came after 15 minutes; Alexander Hjælmhof prodding home a loose ball following a corner. Denmark had a golden chance to double their advantage from the spot just before the break but the chance went begging. However, it wasn't to matter as they held on to take the trophy.

In the third-place Play-Off, Joe Adams' Wales were beaten 2-0 on penalties by Norway. Joe played the full game as the Red Dragons had to fight from two goals down to take the game to spot-kicks; Callum Watts and Isaak Davies cancelling out earlier strikes from Mustapha Fofana and Leo Cornic. Rasmus Sandberg was then the Norway hero in the shootout, saving four Welsh penalties to hand his side victory.
