Brentford B defender Cole Dasilva has been added to the Wales Under-21 squad for two games this month. The 20-year-old has linked up with the squad ahead of the start of their UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2021 qualifying campaign. Wales will play their first two qualifying games as they attempt to reach the 16-team event in 2021.

Wales begin the road to the championships with a game against Belgium in Wrexham on Friday, 6 September. They then face Germany at the same venue the following Tuesday, 10 September. These are the first games for Wales in Group Nine of the qualification tournament. The group winners will qualify for the tournament along with the best second-placed team in nine groups. Eight other runners-up will take part in Play-Off games.

Cole will be looking to add to the three caps he has at Under-21 level. He made his debut in 2017 and played in two games against Albania at the end of last season. Cole has also played for Wales at Under-19 and Under-17 level as well as in the in 2017 Maurice Revello Tournament, better known as the Toulon Tournament, as part of an Under-20 squad. He has played 16 games for his country in total.
