Brentford B progressed to the Second Round of the London FA Senior Cup with a 6-0 win over Beckenham Town on Wednesday night.

Christian Tue Jensen and Jaden Brissett scored in the first half, Mads Roerslev Rasmussen and Gustav Mogensen added two more in the second. Jensen then grabbed two more to complete his first hat-trick in Brentford colours.

The opening minutes were end-to-end, with both sides creating credible chances. The first came from the visitors as Mogensen could have done better with a shot from the edge of the box.

Then a corner allowed Andy Mott to get away from Arthur Read and nod towards goal. Captain Nathan Shepperd was alert and held on to it from closer range.

The Bees took the lead after 20 minutes. Tue Jensen won the free-kick himself, fouled as he approached the box. He then stepped up to whip it into the top corner a few moments later.

Jensen almost had a second after half an hour. A fizzed cross into the box found the Danish midfielder free in the centre, his shot was low beyond the keeper but blocked on the line by defender Ike Robertson.

It was two just before half-time, Brentford using the wing perfectly in the build-up. Nick Tsaroulla and Joe Adams exchanged the ball down the left, the latter clipping a ball across the face of goal. Brissett arrived at the far post to sweep it home.

After 57 minutes, Jensen could have had another goal. Adams and Jensen broke, but the Dane chose to go for goal against the keeper and he produced a fine save.

Moments later, the third goal came. Read did brilliantly in the middle to find Brissett on the right, the ball down the wing was right into fullback Roerslev’s path and he finished in style.

Mogensen might have added the fourth when he broke clear after an hour. Roerslev’s ball over the top was timed to perfection, the striker knocked it on with his head and then drove a shot narrowly wide of the target.

Jensen had another free-kick turned onto the post after 66 minutes, luckily Mogensen was on hand to poke the rebound beyond Michael McEntegart.

Soon after it was five, this time Jensen did get another to add to his tally. Brissett sent a cross over the box, which Jensen took down before smashing home from the edge of the box.

Read went close after 80 minutes, hammering a shot towards goal that was parried away by the keeper. His follow-up was bravely blocked by Robertson, who needed to come off with what looked like a twisted ankle.

Right at the death, Jensen completed his hat-trick. A poor clearance from the keeper was intercepted and it was all too easy for the midfielder to tuck home his third of the night.
