The Bees came flying out of the blocks and scored two early goals only to be pegged back twice in quick succession, the second of those coming from the penalty spot. Both sides scored again to make it 3-3 at the break. Whatever was said in the changing room at half-time spurred Brentford on. The Bees dominated the second-half with some good football, determined tackling and fantastic goals. Pick of the bunch was a 30 yard free kick by Kasey Clifford to complete her hat-trick.

Shannon Read took her tally to six in five games with Jasmine Williamson and Claire Wiener also on target. The well deserved three points moves The Bees up to fourth in the table, ahead of this weekend's trip to Hillingdon Abbots who are three places below them in the Greater London Women's Football League Three West table.

This Sunday sees the First Team host Regents Park Rangers at Griffin Park, kick-off 2pm. The whole squad and backroom staff are excited to be playing a competitive fixture in the stadium, particularly during the last season at the famous ground.

Brentford Women FC would love to see Bees fans and families there to cheer the ladies along. Admission is free, via the Braemar Road gates, so come down and support The Bees in action.

It’s never too late to get involved. We would encourage talented female footballers to give us a try by joining our Wednesday night training session in Southall.
