With Mads Bech Sorensen once again playing the full 90 minutes for the Danes, Brentford B’s Mads Roerslev was an unused substitute, whilst Jaakko Oksanen was a 74th minute substitute for Finland.

Japhet Sery Larsen, also from Brentford B, has been a part of the Denmark under-21 squad but did not feature in either of the two international matches over the past week.

Mads Bech Sorensen was able to get a full match under his belt having stepped up his return from injury over the past couple of weeks, and the Danes won the game when Nikolas Nartey found the all-important goal as he turned the ball home after just 12 minutes.

It was a match that Peter Vindahl-Jensen’s side largely dominated in terms of chances with four attempts on target compared to Finland’s zero.

Having played three matches, Denmark have put themselves in a strong position as they sit on nine points and top of the group, as Finland trail in second on seven points having played four matches.
