Having been part of the side that had ran out 1-0 winners over their Irish counterparts just a couple of days before, the Danes were able to make it two wins from two with Gustav playing from the start in a 2-0 win.

The Danes gradually grew into the first period, and Gustav had a hand in the first goal of the game when his shot was saved by Bobby Jones before Aran Taranis forced the ball home.

Ireland began to create chances for themselves but were unable to convert to draw level, and the match was taken away from them on 65 minutes when the goal scorer turned provider as he set up Oliver Sorensen who made it 2-0.

In the second match of another double header Joe Adams was in under-19 action as he turned out for Wales in their friendly with Austria under-19s.

Having been beaten 3-1 in the first match last Friday, Wales turned out an improved result as they picked up a 2-0 win in Newport.

Cameron Evans and Joshua Thomas were on the scoresheet in south Wales as they bounced back with two goals and a clean sheet.

Both Gustav and Joe will now return to the club to continue their work with Brentford B as preparations continue for the match with Reading Under-23s at Griffin Park on Wednesday 23 October in a 7:30pm kick off.
