Dean Whitestone is one of the longest serving referees in the professional game, having taken charge of his first EFL match back in 2005.
His first Brentford game was a 1-1 draw at home to Bristol City in October 2006 and since then he has gone on to referee a further 13 Bees games, including our EFL Cup Fourth Round tie at Birmingham City in 2010. It's been more than two years since he last took charge of us; that coming at Kingsmeadow in an EFL Cup First Round tie against AFC Wimbledon in August 2017.
So far this season, Whitestone has taken charge of seven games in the Sky Bet Championship and EFL Cup showing 22 yellow cards.
