To mark World Mental Health Day, Brentford FC Community Sports Trust has teamed up with West London NHS Trust to deliver a mental health awareness walk along the River Thames. Coined a “Walk and Talk,” the walk - taking place on Sunday 13 October - will show the importance of connecting with others along with physical activity and how this has a positive impact on our mental health and wellbeing. The free Walk and Talk event is now in its fourth consecutive year and is available to anyone who lives in the local area.
Previous walk and talks have been attended by the Mayor of Hounslow and have seen hundreds of people take part. With one in four people experiencing a mental health condition at some point in their life, the walk aimed to tackle the stigma around mental health and encourage more people to get active.
