Two Brentford strikers were involved for their loan clubs last night with very different outcomes. Marcus Forss and Justin Shaibu were both used as substitutes for AFC Wimbledon and Boreham Wood respectively in their games last night. And those games produced one win and one loss.
Marcus – who will not now be travelling away with Finland Under-21 as originally planned – played the later stages as AFC Wimbledon beat Leyton Orient in a Leasing.com Trophy game last night. Wimbledon were 1-0 up at the break and 2-0 up when Marcus came on just past the hour mark. They won the game 3-0 and now have three points from two games in Southern Group C and Marcus now has four goals in six games.
Justin, who is spending the season on loan at Boreham Wood, could not stop them losing to Barrow. Boreham Wood fell 2-0 down early on but pulled a goal back before half time. Justin came on as Boreham Wood chased the game in the final 20 minutes, but Barrow got a third to secure the points.
