Henrik Dalsgaard helped Denmark to a crucial three points in European Championship Qualifying on Saturday night.
At home to Group D rivals Switzerland, it took 84 minutes for the Danes to strike, Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen setting Yussef Poulsen clear to slot home in Copenhagen. The victory moved Denmark level with the Republic of Ireland at the top of Group D with just two games remaining. Switzerland remain third, four points behind the pair but with a game in hand.
Henrik now has 23 caps to his name for Denmark and will equal the Club record for most caps won while a Brentford player (20) should he feature against Luxembourg in a friendly on Tuesday night.
Elsewhere, Julian Jeanvier’s Guinea were beaten 1-0 at home by the Comoros in Didier Six’s first game as Guinea Head Coach. The only goal came midway through the second-half, Ben Mohamed the scorer in Paris. Guinea are back in action on Tuesday when they face Chile in Alicante.
