A trio of Brentford defenders have been named in the latest Denmark Under-21 squad. The Danes play two games in the next ten days and named a 22-man squad for the matches. Included in that were three Bees – Mads Bech Sørensen, Mads Roerslev and Japhet Sery Larsen.

Denmark play Northern Ireland at home on Thursday, 10 October, before a trip to Finland four days later. Both games are UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers and Denmark are in Group One. They beat Romania in their first game last month while Finland top the embryonic table. The group winners will qualify for the tournament along with the best second-placed team in nine groups. Eight other runners-up will take part in Play-Off games.

Mads Roerslev, who joined Brentford B in the summer, was in the last Denmark Under-21 squad and has two caps at that level. He is an experienced youth international, having played at every level from Under-17 to Under-19. For Mads Bech Sørensen and Japhet Sery Larsen there is a chance to earn a first Under-21 cap.

Mads Bech Sørensen was a regular at Under-18 and Under-19 level and has been in Under-20 and Under-21 squads without playing. Japhet Sery Larsen is on loan at Brentford B this season from FC Midtjylland. He has played 23 games for his country from Under-16 to Under-19 level and this is his first Under-21 call-up.
