After netting twice against Reading Under-23s at Griffin Park on Wednesday evening, he’s taken his tally to eight goals in his last 16 matches and wants to keep building in the coming weeks under Neil MacFarlane.

After the win, he explained: “I’m pleased with the team; I think we played well. It’s always good to win and get some goals as well, so overall, I’m pleased with the performance.

“I want more, always, and I’m working hard so hopefully things will keep getting better.”

On his goals, Jaden was delighted to find the net once again, with the first a special strike as he gave The Bees the lead just before half-time.

“It went into the top corner and I’m glad it went in,” said Jaden. “But it was a good ball from Japhet (Sery Larsen) and I’m glad we won today.

“We’ve been working on it (the high press) in training so it’s good to see when it pays off. The boys work hard, and I think our fitness showed for the whole 90 minutes and that’s what made the win.”

Brentford B will now focus on a Middlesex Senior Cup match with Hanwell Town this Saturday at 3pm, and Jaden believes that sort of test will be an opportunity to improve for the players. He continued: “They will be big and physical, but we have to dig deep and try to get the win like we did last time. It will be good for the boys as we try to make a transition into the first team, so I think it will be a good game.”
