Dru netted once in the first half before adding another two goals in the second period in a positive performance for Brentford B as the midfielder continues to build on his fitness following injury.

He explained: “The boys were unreal; I think we were a class above to be fair and we played really well. I don’t know how I got a hat-trick; I don’t know what’s going on! I’ve got zero league goals and they were three toe-punts.

“I’m pushing to get in everyday, I’m doing extra running sessions to try and get as fit as I can, and I think games like this is what I need.”

Having gone behind early on to a Herson Alvis free-kick, Neil MacFarlane’s side rallied well to get back into the match and take the game away from Bromley.

Dru continued: “It took us a bit by surprise, and I don’t think we expected to go 1-0 down but these things happen in football. The boys did well.

“There’s a few players in there that could definitely play League football and I think they just need their chance. They are where they are, and I don’t think they will be there for much longer.”
