In a battle between two sides who've already booked their spot in the Elite Qualifying Round for next summer's Under-19 European Championships, it was the hosts who came out of the traps quickest, scoring twice in the opening four minutes through Joshua Zirkzee and Crysencio Summerville.

However, the Czechs dug in and were level by the interval. Matyáš Kozák got the first with Jan converting the second on the stroke of half-time. Kozák looked to have scored the winner with nine minutes to go but Zirkzee grabbed his second at the death as it ended 3-3.

The appearance was Jan's sixth at Under-19 level with Lubos Kozel's side next in action on Saturday against Mexico in 's-Gravenzande.

It wasn't such a good night for Jaakko Oksanen and Finland's Under-21s as they were beaten 4-1 in Romania. Kaan Kairinen gave the Little Eagle-Owls a fourth minute lead but after that it was the Valentin Mihăilă show. The 19-year-old forward netted the leveller shortly after before going on to complete a first-half hat-trick. He added a fourth late on for good measure as Finland went down to their second straight defeat in Group H.

Jaakkko came off the bench with 25 minutes to play, earning his eighth cap in the process. The 19-year-old will now return to West London with no further fixtures for Finland this week.
