Saturday's game was dedicated to remembering the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces community. The team proudly wore poppies on their shirts, which are available to bid on through an online auction which has so far raised more than £2,600 for the Royal British Legion's work.
This year was the first time that shirts were auctioned off live from kick-off. This meant that you could start bidding on your favourite shirt(s) as soon as the first whistle blows. All poppy shirts were personally signed by the relevant player after the match and are offered unwashed – so all grass and mud stains are still in there.
The auction closes today, Wednesday at 3PM. All bids made are inclusive of worldwide secured shipping and payment handling fees – so no hidden costs, with all proceeds going to The Royal British Legion’s vital work supporting the Armed Forces Community.
