Halil Dervişoğlu was in international action on Tuesday night as Turkey’s Under-21s suffered a 2-0 defeat away at Andorra in European Championship Qualifying. The striker started the game at the Estadi Nacional, earning his seventh cap, as Andorra took a seventh-minute lead through Ricard Fernandez Betriu. Halil was replaced with 17 minutes before Andorra made the game safe thanks to a late Jordi Aláez penalty. The Turks are bottom of Group C, which contains Ellery Balcombe’s England, with four points from six games. At Club level, Halil and Sparta Rotterdam host SBV Vitesse on Sunday.
