The Bees will travel to Albacete before they then welcome FC Cartagena to their training base in La Manga on Thursday.

Speaking about the chance to come abroad and play against a different opposition, Joe explained: “It’s exciting, it’s part of the Brentford B way, to get to come out and experience other things so it should be good.

“You can learn a variety of things because in your career you can come across different things and different teams, so you have to be able to adapt.

“We’ll take whatever the Spanish do, the positive parts of their play, and try to put it into our game.”

Joe says the side will go into their fixtures with confidence following some good form of late, and with goals flying in at the right end added to strong defensive performances, Joe says the team are all working hard.

He continued: “There’s a lot of confidence and we’ve scored a lot of goals, six against Bromley last time, and then three against Reading and two against Hanwell. We’re scoring a lot and we’re not conceding many either, so it’s pleasing. It comes front to back, if we go forward then they’ve (the defence) got to come with us, and we’ll drop in at times so it’s a team effort.”
